PDF to Image conversion
We provide two example programs to convert PDF to image (tif, png or jpg). Both can run as fully automated processes.

A choice of .jpg .gif and .tif formats is provided, size is user configurable and bicubic scaling is employed for crisp high resolution images. The examples offer a quick and fast generator or a slower, more memory-intensive version to produce the highest quality tif, png or Jpg images. There is also a very simple example of PDF to Image conversion you can copy straight into your code.
PDF Clipped Image Extraction
PDF files can contain not just images but also complex clips and this fully automated example program allows you to extract each image and apply the clip associated with it. Extract all clipped images from a PDF at the highest possible quality or generate copies in user configurable sizes.
Many of our clients use this feature to create thumbnails of images from PDF files for use in catalogues. More Information...

The above output was obtained by instructing JPedal to create one image 142 pixels high, another at 213 pixels high and the final image unscaled. The number of images and sizes required are all user configurable.
PDF to Text extraction
JPedal provides both point and click GUI PDF to text conversion and automated tools for PDF to text conversion. PDF Text is saved as plain text or XML and can retain layout and style information.

In the GUI, simply select the PDF text of interest and right click. From the pop-up menu, the extraction menu choice allows for PDF to text conversion as plain text or XML. Routines for table extraction allow for improved extraction of tabular data.
