PDF Text search
PDF text search is available as an integral PDF viewer function and also as a separate standalone feature. JPedal was designed to make it easy to search PDF files.
Interactive PDF search in the PDF Viewer
The built-in PDF Viewer offer powerful PDF search capabilities as standard.
The interactive PDF search function allows you to search either the current page or the entire PDF document for occurrences of a word or a phrase.
By clicking the
icon in the JPedal toolbar, a search box is presented. Type in the word or phrase of interest, click the search button and JPedal will search the pdf.
A list of any matches is displayed in the PDF search box. Double clicking any of these matches will open the page on which the match occurred, with the PDF search term highlighted.
Doing your own PDF search
JPedal also provides a number of powerful example Java programs to search PDF files and find PDF text matches. The user has a high level of control over the functionality, for choosing how to handle hypens and punctuation.
